Please join us in welcoming…

We are delighted to announce that Adele’s Over the Rainbow Baskets is joining the PREP family. Founder Krista Rowland-Collins and her volunteer team deliver gift baskets to new families in the hospital to congratulate them on the birth of their child.  All items in the baskets are 100% donated. This service is a wonderful match with PREP’s mission to provide exceptional family centered services that empower parents to advocate for their child’s full citizenship in the community.

“I started Adele’s Over the Rainbow Baskets because I feel that families who have a baby born with Down syndrome deserve to hear ‘congratulations’ and that ‘it will be ok’.

Families aren’t always given the diagnosis in a comforting and loving way, instead they are told that something is wrong with their baby or they hear ‘I’m sorry, but your baby has Down syndrome’.

Every baby deserves a warm welcome.

It is quite the shock to be given the news and it is overwhelming and your mind races and fear takes over.

I want to provide a family with some comfort, answer questions and reassure them that although it wasn’t the journey that they expected, it will be beautiful.”

Founder: Krista Rowland-Collins

PREP looks forward to connecting with new families and welcoming them to the Woodridge PREP Centre. It is empowering for parents to meet other families who share their parenting journey and learn about all the wonderful services available at the Woodridge PREP Centre to support their family for many years to come.
